Now, if you were here in 2022 when I made the website and was expanding from the “Coffey Blog” to Isaiah 1:18 Ministries then you understand why I have titled this day’s article what I’ve called it.
I am changing site hosting and doing what I should have done the first time, gotten a second site with Word Press hosting under the same type of agreement as the “Coffey Blog” is. Why am I doing this and what does it mean for the future?
Great question and I am glad that I’ve put forth what I believe is in your minds. Whenever I make a change it’s because I think the change will be beneficial in the long term. And things have been changing over the past few years. The only way I can keep this ministry running is by adapting to the change. These changes will take effect End of This MONTH
Right now, my priority is taking care of my household. I believe I have mentioned this but in case I didn’t here it is. I got married at the end of 2023 and that’s why I took this past year and a half, year and three quarters of a break from writing. I had moved in with my wife which doubled my commute to and from work. This made writing on any time outside of the weekends difficult if I wanted to spend any time with my family. My new job however is half the time but it comes with a 20% pay cut by comparison.
That means I need to change how I do the website in order to keep the compiled lists of resources from being lost by the requirement to shut down the self-hosted website. The only real changes between the new website and the old website is that the formatting will be changed. I have already uploaded all of the articles, pages, and comments needed to make it run. Everything will still be available just on a site that looks a bit different. I have made certain that all of who you are receiving this email are on the list of the new site for when I do publish new articles on the myriad of topics that I might feel God telling me to write about. If you didn’t get a duplicate of this from the other website to that site and subscribe manually. The new website is linked at the end of this article.
Additional News
I will be spending a lot of time this coming year doing some soul searching to see what God wants me to do exactly since I’ve gone through a lot of life changes and that tends to mess with one’s sense of personal identity. I’ve recently felt a relighting of my desire to write fiction so I will be doing a bit of that this year. If I post updates about that I will be doing so on my author’s website which I’ve got linked at the end of this article. I think all of you have received the “duplicate” article from the new website so I think you all should have a link to that one already but just in case I’ve added one at the end of this article as well for your convenience.
